The house is starting to come together now. Most of the boxes are unpacked and things have found their home. My dad built me a bookcase to fit inside a doorway opening (there was no door on it) that accesses the formal living area with the casual living area.

As I have converted the formal living area into my office and there were two doors from these two areas I didn’t really see the need to have it accessable. I have painted up the bookcase and we are trimming it now.

My dad also put my oven in which involved bricking up the existing oven stack and adding more tiles. He’s done an amazing job.

I have done a bit of painting, two bedrooms, the laundry and the rear hallway which were pretty disgusting in colour. I plan to paint my bedroom eventually but, while it’s not really the colour I want, it’s not totally unpalatable.

I have taken some photos of the house and I thought I would share them with you. This is my bedroom and the living area. My office area can wait because it’s still not quite ready.
