It’s a fair assumption that I took a lot of photographs while I was in Sydney. Here are some from the Sydney Tower at Centerpoint

WordPress revisited
I have installed a bridge so that wordpress works through the CMS, however it appears that the archived posts have not transferred across.
I guess I will have to do it manually!
UPDATED – It installed a separate version of WP so that’s why the posts weren’t there.
It’s a new look
I figure that the start of the month is the best time to go live with something new so here is my updated website.
Ok. We have the basic shell for what I want to do and I plan to bring things back online as I can. My old members section is currently still active for those who regularly look in there.
I want to make it easier for people to log in and view the content so that is why I have changed to a full Content Management System and future plans include enhanced image galleries.
Enjoy
one shit website
A couple of years ago I was asked to make a website for someone to promote their marketing plan.
It started out simple enough but the client kept making changes like adjusting colours, swapping fonts, putting new and tacky backgrounds in.
By the end of it he was quite happy but I hated it, so when it came to putting it into my portfolio I slotted it in with the defunct sites so it wouldn’t come up in the general category that people first find. I actually didn’t want to put it there at all.
Yesterday afternoon the owner got in contact with me and said that he felt that the site hadn’t worked for him and he would like to build a different one for is expanded business. He told me that he felt the site looked tacky and implied that maybe I could have done a better job.
I tactfully mentioned that he had made a lot of changes to the design that he originally said yes to, although I really wanted to tell him that it was his meddling in the layout that had killed his site.
I know that some of the links were not working properly because he had tampered with the code after I had signed off on it, something that I would normally fix up as I notice but with his I just didn’t want to have anything to do with it.
So he called me on Saturday afternoon and again on Saturday evening and then he called at 9am this morning.
I don’t mind clients calling me out of hours, but I get the feeling he is going to irritate me again!
Restored
Apparently I didn’t get the email about the security plug for the Image Gallery. The company sent it to me and now the server is up and running again.
