OK, so this has been a big week of not updating. For some reason the mail has been quite heavy this week, leaving me with less time on my hands than normal. Coupled with the fact that I have a few new sites in the development stage, and a largish assignment for TAFE that I haven’t even started yet. Yikes!
This week has been getting progressively warmer. I am not going to say farewell to the cold weather just yet, that would be asking for it, but it did get to 31.7ºC which for my metric deficient friends is 89ºF.
It’s nice that its warmer now, but it is playing havoc with my hay fever. I don’t always suffer from it, but currently I am sneezing repetitively and my eyes feel like someone has been rubbing sand in them.
My power supply seems a little unreliable at present. Both yesterday and today at around 6am the RCD on my house flipped. The RCD is the safety switch, its an earth leakage device designed to kill the power if someone does something stupid like take a toaster into the bath or stick forks into power outlets. I don’t know what is causing it to break as I am at work at the time. If it keeps up I may have to try an elimination process thingy, or call an electrician.
Then, as if having partial power losses two mornings in a row, the power went out fully this afternoon as well. Phoning the Western Power faults line indicated that the power may be out until 10pm. With the power out I went shopping instead and thankfully it was back on when I got returned at 4pm
Footnote: It was a fault in the aquarium heater!
